A Beauty In An All-Male Alpha Academy

Chapter 334: A New Beginning II

Chapter 334: A New Beginning II

The cool breeze brushed against her face as she stepped out of the car. The Alpha Academy did not look the same anymore. Everything felt strange. Heavy. Even the air around her made her uneasy.

The moment her feet touched the ground, she noticed the stares.

Students stood around in groups, watching her closely as if they had been waiting for her arrival. Angela’s heart skipped hard against her chest. Why were they looking at her like that? Did they finally suspect the truth? Did they know she was not really a boy?

Her throat tightened.

Quickly, she pulled out her phone from the pocket of her baggy trousers and stared at her reflection on the screen. Nothing looked wrong. Her wig still sat perfectly on her head, hiding every trace of the girl beneath it. To everyone here, she still looked like Angel, the quiet boy they knew last term.

So why did their eyes follow her everywhere?

"Welcome back!"

Stales came rushing toward her before she could think any further. He threw his arms around her neck tightly.

"I missed you so much."

"Hmmm," Angela muttered as she pushed him away with an annoyed look. "Do not think I forgot that you were one of the people who lied to my face and made me feel like I was going crazy."

"Oh, Angela." He sighed deeply like he was already tired of hearing it. "I thought you said you forgave me."

"I forgave you," she replied sharply. "But I did not forget what you did."

She turned to the man who had driven her to the academy.

"You may leave now."

The man gave a small bow before getting back into the car and driving away.

Angela let out a long breath before facing Stales again.

"Now the real drama begins," she said. "Help me carry my box inside. I already know the West House is going to treat me like trash this year."

The smile on Stales’ face disappeared immediately.

He looked toward the West House building with a strange expression, almost like he did not even recognize the place anymore.

Angela frowned.

"What is going on?"

A cold feeling slowly crept into her chest. Something had happened before she arrived. She could see it clearly now.

Stales looked back at her, his face serious.

"You are not in the West House anymore," he said quietly.

"What?" Her voice came out louder than she expected. Shock filled her face. "How is that even possible?"

The academy authorities were the ones who assigned students to hostels. Nobody got moved unless they broke the rules badly.

Her heart suddenly dropped.

Wait...

Did they find out about her and Kaito?

Did someone see them together that night?

No. That could not be the reason. Other students had done far worse things inside this academy and nothing happened to them.

"I know," Stales quickly said when he saw the look on her face.

Angela was already getting angry, ready to explode at any moment, but Stales grabbed her arm and pulled her farther away from the entrance of the West House.

"Let go of me," she snapped.

"No," he replied seriously. "A lot has changed. You just resumed today, but I came back yesterday. Trust me when I say things are different now."

He finally released her arm.

Angela looked around slowly. Most of the students had returned to whatever they were doing, but a few still stood there staring at her like she did not belong in the academy anymore.

A strange feeling settled inside her chest.

This was no longer about the fan page.

Something else was going on.

Something bigger.

"Which hostel was I moved to?" she asked quietly.

"I will check."

Stales pulled out his phone and scrolled through it for a few moments before lifting his head.

"The Central House."

Angela stared at him before letting out a short laugh.

"You are joking, right?"

She waited for him to laugh too. To tell her it was one of his stupid jokes.

But he did not.

Instead, he slipped his phone back into his pocket and walked over to grab her box.

"We are going to your new hostel, Angel."

For a moment, Angela could not move.

This was real.

Slowly, her eyes drifted back to the West House building. Her gaze moved toward the staircase that led to the room she once shared with Kaito.

A painful ache spread through her chest.

Ever since the first day she stepped into the academy, that room had been her home. No matter how difficult things became, she always returned there.

And now it was over.

They were no longer going to live together.

The thought felt strange and painful at the same time.

But maybe this was how things were supposed to be now.

After all, they had already broken up.

"I know Kaito did this," Angela hissed as they walked down the path. Her school bag hung over her shoulders while Stales carried her box for her. Honestly, she was relieved he handled it because her mind was already too heavy.

"He made sure I stayed away from his space, right?"

"I do not know much about it," Stales replied quietly, avoiding her eyes. "But you should know that Kaito is no longer the House Master. Alex is now."

Angela stopped walking immediately.

"What?" She turned to him with wide eyes. "Are you serious? Our Alex?"

"Yes," Stales answered. "I know it sounds shocking since he is not from the Apex Class, but this is Alpha Academy. Leadership is different here. Someone with a higher rank in the werewolf kingdom can take the position before anyone else."

Angela slowly nodded as they continued walking again.

"I am actually happy it is Alex," she admitted softly. "He has been avoiding me lately."
