Chapter 509: Being Invisible
Chapter 509: Being Invisible
Lin Xuan Qi read the words on the manuscript before he proceeded to try and create talismans that could shield him from harm, make him invisible, and those with a healing effect.
Although it was the first time for him to create these talismans, it wasn’t too much of an issue for him with his prior experience.
The talisman papers gave out a glow after he had drawn the scriptures according to what was depicted in the manuscript.
Lin Xuan Qi picked up one of the invisible talismans and channeled his Five-Element Qi into it.
It made the talisman give out a glow before it dissipated.
And with it, the figure of Lin Xuan Qi also disappeared from sight.
"Master Lin, where you?" Zhi Yong, who was also in the lab, was shocked when he saw him disappearing from sight.
Lee He Song was also surprised but he chuckled and said, "Try to sense Master Lin with your Five-Element Qi."
Zhi Yong nodded his head and tried it. And it surprised him even more.
He could feel the presence of Master Lin through the Five-Element Qi but visually, he couldn’t see Master Lin with his eyes.
"Magic." Zhi Yong mumbled to himself and he was dying to try it out.
Zhi Yong was fascinated but for Lee He Song, being able to become invisible was his idea of being an immortal.
To be able to become invisible and flying in the air was something that he had longed for when he was still a martial arts fighter.
Lin Xuan Qi deactivated the effect of the invisible talisman and he appeared again right in front of their eyes.
"Master Lin, me try!" Zhi Yong exclaimed excitedly, wanting to have a go with it.
"You might have to wait. I’ve only created one so far, which I’ve just used." Lin Xuan Qi said and Zhi Yong nodded his head.
"Congratulations, Master Lin. With this talisman, there are so many uses for it." Lee He Song said and Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head.
Indeed there were.
Lin Xuan Qi’s plan to set up a new sect would also depend on it.
But that would have to wait till he got to Gui Feng City.
Trying to do so here in Hong Feng City was too risky under the eyes of the Qing Feng Sect.
After he had tested the invisible talisman, he continued to create more of the other talismans, including those that he had used before.
Soon, when he was done, there were stacks of talismans in front of him.
He kept a few stacks for himself and gave the others to Lee He Song and Zhi Yong.
They were also crucial in helping him protect the mansion and factories he had.
It was a fruitful night for him and after he was done, he went back and spent the night with Yue Jie.
...
After he woke up the next day, Yue Jie was surprisingly still on the bed with him.
She was looking at him when he opened his eyes.
"Maybe you should spend the day with us?" She asked and he wrapped his arm around her.
"Why the sudden request?" He rubbed his eyes with his other hand and asked.
"You’ve been so busy lately."
Lin Xuan Qi sighed and thought for a moment.
He had been busy with the franchise ever since he came back from Bian Jing and maybe it would be appropriate for him to take an occasional break from his work.
"I’ll see what I can do." He made no promises as he had planned to start on the training for the workers in the production line and also check on the refurnishing of the new store.
The earliest he could come back to the mansion might already be late afternoon or in the evening.
Yue Jie sighed and nodded her head.
They got up, washed up and changed into a new set of clothes before they went to the dining hall for breakfast.
Lin Xuan Qi had a quick meal and left for the day immediately after.
He arrived at the factory in the north first and began training the new workers on what they had to do.
"Master Lin." They bowed at him respectfully when they saw him.
After spending the day in the living quarters and listening to how the other senior workers were treated, they felt a sense of relief.
It sounded like a dream to them that working in the factory meant they had accommodation and were fed three meals a day.
And on top of that they had an allowance every month with the possibility of getting a bonus if the business did well.
There was nowhere in Hong Feng City with the same treatment.
All of them had feared for their future when they sold themselves into slavery to Fei Luo, and luckily for them, they were picked up by Lin Xuan Qi.
Which was a blessing in disguise for them.
But first, they had better perform well enough in their work to stay on.
And that was what they did, listening very attentively to whatever Lin Xuan Qi said.
"Here, you need to boil the soup for half an incense time before you filter the impurities." Lin Xuan Qi pointed at the huge metal pot in front of him and said.
The new workers nodded and tried to remember as much as they could.
After he was done explaining what they had to do, he separated the workers into different groups for the different stations of the production line.
They nodded their heads at him and began to do what they had been told earlier.
Everyone tried their best for a chance to stay in the factory.
The alternative of being sent back to Fei Luo’s place wasn’t a pleasant one for them.
"Be careful, put it inside the pot longer." Lin Xuan Qi gave them some pointers now and then when he saw them making little mistakes here and there.
But overall, they were on the right track and he proceeded to do the same thing over at the factory in the east.
