Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster

Chapter 123 - 122: I Bought a Watch Last Year

Chapter 123 - 122: I Bought a Watch Last Year

The homeroom teacher knows a bit about each child’s personality in the class. While South Grant might be a bit lazy in studies usually, the teacher doesn’t believe he would steal someone’s things.

"Teacher, is there any evidence? Just search his backpack, and the truth will be revealed." At this moment, Sheldon Shawn slightly raised his chin, wearing a smug and fearless expression.

Searching a student’s backpack without cause is an insult to the student.

While the homeroom teacher hesitated, South Grant stood up voluntarily and said:

"Teacher, it’s okay. If he wants to search, let him. The innocent have nothing to hide."

"That’s what you said yourself," Sheldon Shawn looked coldly at South Grant.

As he spoke, Sheldon Shawn left his seat and walked towards South Grant’s place.

South Grant took out his backpack with a composed expression, and Sheldon Shawn personally started to empty all its contents.

The books and other things scattered all over the floor, but his watch was nowhere to be seen.

Sheldon Shawn searched through the pile but still couldn’t find it.

"Huh, where’s my watch?" Sheldon Shawn mumbled.

The principal watched from the side, frowning deeply.

Seeing the mess, the homeroom teacher frowned and said:

"Why don’t you go back home and look for it. It might be there. In the future, always base your claims on evidence at school. Accusing a classmate harms relationships. You have less than a month left in school; cherish this remaining time."

"No, teacher, it must be him. If it’s not in his backpack, it must be on him! I want to search him!" Sheldon Shawn declared emphatically.

The homeroom teacher’s expression darkened at these words.

"Shawn, there’s a limit to everything. You are slandering a fellow student, damaging relationships, and now you want a body search? What do you take this place for?"

As Sheldon Shawn was about to speak, the principal interrupted sternly, "To clear South Grant’s name, I think a search is necessary. Otherwise, the suspicion will affect their relationships."

South Grant knew that this was the principal’s purpose. He directed, and Sheldon Shawn acted as the vanguard, aiming to pin the theft accusation on him.

South Grant stood up from his seat and said to the homeroom teacher:

"Teacher, actually, I noticed I lost something during the first period this morning. I didn’t mention it because I didn’t want to wrongfully accuse a classmate. Now that Sheldon Shawn is making such a fuss, I can’t help but question his motives."

Everyone looked at South Grant, somewhat surprised.

South Grant lost something too?

"What did you lose?" Sheldon Shawn asked coldly.

"A watch," South Grant replied blandly, then glanced at him and said, "I originally planned on going home to see if I left it there, but with your grand search, Shawn, I can’t help but suspect you’re trying to cover up your own theft."

"You’re talking nonsense! What evidence do you have?" Sheldon Shawn was about to explode at being called a thief.

"Oh, evidence is required now, huh? I thought that you just needed to open your mouth to accuse," South Grant’s expression was indescribably cool, and his words dripped with sarcasm.

"You!" Sheldon Shawn, unable to argue with him, angrily demanded, "When did you buy your watch?"

"I bought a watch last year," South Grant said, folding his arms.

Some student in the class snorted with laughter, followed by others joining in.

I bought a watch last year = Shut the f*** up.

Because the initials are the same, it is taken as a curse word.

At that moment, South Grant, with all seriousness, was cursing him, and Sheldon Shawn was furious but couldn’t vent his anger.

South Grant looked at him with a constipated face and couldn’t help but let out a sneer in his heart.

Apart from Foster, there’s no one in this world I can’t take down.

If I can’t take down Foster, and I can’t take down you either, I might as well go eat shit!

(Danny interjects: Sister, what’s your taste? You won’t even let go of crap...)
