Chapter 2290 - 2294: No Rush
The car grew quieter when neither of them spoke.
Nangong Lin thought it was fine like this. Talking too much could be tiring, so she lazily leaned back in the seat.
Just as she leaned back, Alvin suddenly reached over, his large, warm hand enveloping hers without warning, gently holding her hand in his palm.
His movements weren’t slow but were gentle, as if he were cherishing something, yet there was also an underlying sense of impatient eagerness.
Nangong Lin was suddenly taken aback. What was happening!
She looked at her hand in disbelief; it was being held tightly by Alvin, who was softly caressing it with his thumb.
She was shocked. Oh my god, this is too blatant!
She looked over at Alvin, who was focused on the road ahead, seemingly a bit too shy to look at her.
Just as she was about to speak, Alvin suddenly turned his gaze towards her, his beautiful amber eyes unexpectedly locking with her slightly surprised gaze.
"Have you thought about what I mentioned last night?" he suddenly asked, his exceptionally well-shaped lips astonishingly alluring.
His voice was incredibly gentle. To say it was pleasant to hear would be an understatement; that was common knowledge!
He asked, with a barely-there smile at the corners of his lips, looking quite sweet; his beautiful and deep amber eyes were filled with undeniable warmth.
But that’s not the point. The point was what came out of his mouth!
It practically terrified her!
Nangong Lin was startled and quickly pulled back her hand, "I haven’t made up my mind yet! It’s not something to decide so quickly!"
"Still not decided?" Alvin raised an eyebrow, seeming a bit surprised, but soon an irrepressible joy surfaced in his eyes.
Without letting her refuse, he again took her hand, "Well, no hurry. Take your time, I’ll wait for you."
Nangong Lin almost exploded, staring at him in extreme astonishment, yet found she didn’t know how to refuse him.
Besides, with her hand held by him, there was an unexpected warmth, and her heart irrationally started beating faster.
Oh no, oh no, she must be doomed!!!
When they arrived in front of the Nangong Family gate, Alvin held her hand the entire way, only letting go when he had to make a turn and signal.
Then, naturally, he took her hand again.
Nangong Lin was about to lose it and couldn’t help but glare at him, "We’re here, how much longer are you going to keep holding my hand?"
Alvin looked down at their entwined hands. Nangong Lin’s hand was quite fair, while his was a healthy wheat color—not dark, but definitely not pale. The contrast wasn’t big; surprisingly, they looked harmonious.
As his gaze settled, Alvin’s heart raced a little, and his eyes couldn’t help but take on a dreamy tint.
After a moment of deliberation, he suddenly raised his eyes, looking at her seriously, "If possible, I’d hold it for a lifetime."
Actually, this was the first time he had held a girl’s hand like this. After holding it, the feeling unexpectedly etched into his heart bare and unguarded, merging into his soul, as if it couldn’t be let go.
Nangong Lin froze, her face instantly flushing red. She quickly flung his hand away, opened the car door, and dashed off.
Alvin watched her retreating figure, faster than a rabbit, feeling a slight sense of loss but also tremendous joy.
At least she hadn’t completely rejected him.
So, did she possibly have a tiny bit of feelings for him?
