Chapter 407: Did He Just Kiss Me?
Chapter 407: Did He Just Kiss Me?
Just as the red-haired man made several glasses disappear in an instant, Evelyn’s eyes twitched, astonished at how he did it.
Is he... a magician?
"Amazing, isn’t it?" The red-haired man’s mouth still curved into a smile full of mystery.
As he spoke, he suddenly conjured a flower, passing it under Evelyn’s nose and then offering it to her, saying with a smile, "This flower is for the most beautiful woman here."
Evelyn couldn’t help but look at this man disdainfully. Didn’t he find his fawning disgusting?
At the same time, a strange thought emerged in her mind—if only Caden Lockwood would do these things for her, wouldn’t that be wonderful!
Thinking this, Evelyn quickly shook her head.
She must be drunk!
Why is it that after drinking, all she thinks about is Caden Lockwood?
Without taking the man’s flower, Evelyn turned to leave.
Instead, the man became more annoyingly persistent.
"Beautiful, rejecting me like this, you’ve broken my heart. At least accept my flower, give me a phone number, and we can..."
Before the red-haired man could finish, his hand blocking Evelyn’s wrist was suddenly gripped by a strong and powerful hand, followed by a piercing scream.
Evelyn jumped in fright, and when she looked, she saw Caden’s dark, handsome face, incredibly grim and terrifying, with an aura as if he wanted to devour the world.
And yet, she unconsciously smiled.
Wonderful!
Caden Lockwood appeared!
If she remembers correctly, this wasn’t the first or second time he had rescued her like this!
Gazing at Evelyn again, Caden kicked the red-haired man to the ground and pulled Evelyn, ready to leave this place.
The red-haired man, having been beaten, naturally wouldn’t take it lying down.
The group of men who came with him gathered around threateningly, glaring at Caden, obviously intending to settle the score with him.
"You!" One of the blonde men pointed at Caden, "Leave the woman behind to play with us for a while, then kneel and kowtow to beg us to let you go, and we’ll forget what just happened, otherwise..."
At this, the blonde man was so intimidated by Caden’s demeanor that he dared not finish his sentence.
Caden’s expression was cold and merciless as he swept his gaze over them, his lips curling into an even colder smile, with a chilling aura growing increasingly dangerous.
Evelyn nestled in Caden’s arms, still somewhat unsteady.
The intoxication seemed to grow stronger, numbing all her senses.
Yet, she had to work hard to keep herself clear-headed.
"Close your eyes, things are about to get bloody." Caden whispered in Evelyn’s ear, "Count to ten, then open them."
Then, he walked towards the group of young troublemakers, ready to crush their arrogance.
Evelyn’s cheeks flushed hot.
She made a dreamy expression, murmuring softly, "Did he just kiss me?"
A warm sweetness surged in her heart, and Evelyn didn’t close her eyes at all.
She watched as Caden rushed up and, without a word, brought down all those provocateurs, the hearts in her eyes blossoming as she idolized him.
"One, two, three... eight, nine, ten."
Evelyn quietly counted the time in her heart.
Sure enough, by the time she counted to ten, those who were so arrogant earlier were now begging for mercy.
Caden didn’t even glance at them, and looking at Evelyn again, seeing her beaming smile, his expression grew darker.
This woman, does she really have the nerve to smile at a time like this?
