The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day

Chapter 517 - 390: The Dragon Clan

Chapter 517 - 390: The Dragon Clan

Luna Sutton quickly found Lyle Sutton in the courtyard and walked straight over to state her intent, "Father, the Dragon Clan’s ancestral worship is at the beginning of next month. Tomorrow, Mael and I will take the little dragons to the Dragon Clan in Aetheria. Corbin and the others said they want to take their kids to the Phoenix Clan, to broaden their horizons. The affairs here in the Wolf Tribe will be left up to you."

Lyle heard her and didn’t stop her: "Go ahead, it’s good for them to see the world."

Thinking about how he basically couldn’t farm, his brows furrowed, "But about this farming... No one in the Wolf Tribe really knows how to mess with that rice, huh?"

She knew Father would ask these things, so she smiled lightly: "No worries, big brother already led the tribe beastmen and got the fields mostly ready. I’ve soaked the rice seeds, they’re sprouting now. When I return from the Dragon Clan, it’ll be right time for sowing, nothing will be delayed. Big brother will just smooth out the irrigation ditches with some men, leave the rest till I get back."

"Alright, as long as you know what you’re doing."

Lyle nodded, watching his daughter’s neat figure as she turned away. There was an indescribable feeling in his heart.

For some reason, he recalled the day of the sacrifice.

Something’s off.

Way too off.

The Luna from before was lazy, gluttonous, a little selfish, and liked playing pranks most.

Spring sacrifice with younglings as offerings?

She would at most pout, definitely wouldn’t have stared coldly with a presence so intimidating it made him shudder like that day.

And all that stuff about farming, building houses, treating illnesses... She knows way too much now.

Is it really possible that being enlightened by the Beast God can change someone’s core from the inside out?

The more he thought, the more uneasy he felt.

He turned on his heel and headed straight to the old priest’s house.

The priest was fussing with his turtle shell inside, and when he saw Lyle walk in, he didn’t even raise his eyelids, "Spit it out if you’ve got something to say, let your fart out quick, old man’s busy."

Lyle didn’t care about the old geezer’s attitude, brow knit tight, and went straight to the point, "Hey old buddy, do you feel like something’s off about Luna? Like... she’s been swapped out for someone else?"

The old priest’s movements paused, knowing exactly what the old man wanted to ask, and knowing he was suspicious.

He acted as if he was divining with his fingers: "Beast God Envoy, touched by the Beast God, enlightened, awakened, naturally different from before. This insight, this temperament, these skills—that’s a result of great fortune. All that lazy bug and greedy streak were cleansed away by divine light. What’s strange about it? Stop making a fuss."

He waved his hand, shooing him like a fly, "Get going, get going, don’t keep me from divining fate and fortune."

Lyle was left speechless by his retort. Thinking of the earth-shaking changes Luna had brought to the tribe, that little bit of doubt was suppressed after all.

Yeah, Beast God Envoy... always different.

The next day, just at the break of dawn.

Several streams of light shot into the sky, quickly disappearing on the horizon.

Corbin, Rhys, Kian Sterling, Zeke Veridian, Malachi Arcanus, along with Kael, Kael Shadowend, Frey, Barrett Arcanus, Fintan Arcanus, Zora, three little phoenixes, and Rhys’s eight snake babies, with Soren Phoenix leading the way, took off in grand fashion straight toward the territory of the Phoenix Clan of Aetheria.

Luna sat on Mael Valerius’s dragon back, her wrist wrapped with one gold and one azure little dragon poking around curiously. They transformed into a dazzling golden light, tearing through space and clouds, heading straight for the Dragon Clan in Aetheria.

...

Aetheria, Dragon Clan territory, the towering Dragon Abyss Hall.

The Black-armored Guard knelt on one knee in the hall’s center, reciting the reports from the Lower Domain verbatim to Horace Valerius.

"Abolished live sacrifice?"

Horace drummed his finger on the throne’s armrest, his golden eyes narrowing, "A rule passed down for a million years, and she says abolish it just like that. This imposter sure dares... "

The Black-armored Guard didn’t dare look up: "The clans responded fiercely, but Beast King City and the Phoenix Clan have already issued orders..."

"Enough."

Horace impatiently waved to interrupt, suddenly remembering the ancestral ceremony, his expression shifting, "When will Mira and the others arrive?"

"The Young Master and his party have already set out. They should arrive at the Dragon Clan in three days at most."

The Black-armored Guard answered respectfully.

Horace turned to gaze at the rolling sea of clouds outside the hall, his eyes complicated.

After a moment, he said to the old steward waiting by his side, "Senan, go get the Amethyst Palace cleaned up, and prepare some..."

His words got stuck right in his throat.

He, the dignified Clan Leader of the Dragon Clan, had no idea what females liked.

He struggled for ages and finally added with a dark face, "Pick some clothes and jewelry females like, according to the standard for the Dragon Clan Young Master’s main consort."

"Understood, Clan Leader."

Senan accepted the orders and couldn’t help pondering.

This Young Master main consort’s standard wasn’t ordinary.

Did the Clan Leader really intend to accept that female from the Lower Domain, make her the future Dragon Clan Chief’s wife?

Though puzzled, he didn’t dare ask more, turning to order the female slaves to clean up the Amethyst Palace.

...

Three days later, Dragon Clan territory.

The cloud layer was ripped open by a streak of golden light. Mael Valerius, transformed into a massive dragon, spiraled downward, landing slowly on the vast jade plaza.

He landed and shifted into human form.

Luna Sutton also jumped down with her two little dragons from his back.

"So this is the Dragon Clan?"

She looked all around.

Mountains stretched in every direction, clouds surged and tumbled, mystery and solemnity everywhere.

Where they stood, the jade plaza’s surface was paved with a single colossal jade stone, smooth as a mirror, shining softly with a gentle glow.

Not far ahead, a majestic palace built upon the mountain, imposing and grand. Above the palace gate hung a huge golden plaque, inscribed "Dragon Abyss Hall" in three characters.

The strokes leapt like dragons and snakes, strong as iron hooks and silver lines, exuding boundless authority.

Mael nodded, eyes sweeping the surroundings before landing back on Luna, "Do you like it here, Luna?"

Luna withdrew her gaze and chuckled lightly, "The scenery’s nice—a great place for retirement."

Mael raised an eyebrow at her words, but hadn’t spoken yet.

Just then, Dragon Clan guards evidently noticed them, rushing over and kneeling, "Welcome Young Master home!"

Noticing Luna by Mael’s side, their expressions betrayed shock and a hint of contempt.

This was that Lower Domain female, Luna Sutton?

The Young Master had upended the entire Dragon Clan for her, even becoming a Frenzied Beast for a time, and the Great Witch had died because of it.

She was indeed stunning, born exceedingly beautiful, but her background was too low.

Looking at the two little dragons in Luna’s arms, their pure auras obvious, their gazes burned hotter.

Genius dragon younglings!

The Dragon Clan hadn’t had any younglings born in ages, and now there were two.

He cast a furtive glance at Luna, tsk... who cares about her low-born status, lucky as hell.

Mael’s gaze swept over those contemptuous guards, his face instantly darkened, an unseen pressure rolling out.

The guards broke out in cold sweat, heads buried lower, faces ghostly pale.

He took Luna’s hand and led her inside, voice icy with warning: "Luna is my mate. Solly and Auri are my blood. Anyone who dares so much as utter a disrespectful word, go fetch your own punishment in the Hall of Punishment."

Luna glanced at those contemptuous guards, lips curled in a faint smile.

This is just the beginning.

Today she came specifically to blind these old fossils with her kids.

Mael was about to lead her in.

Suddenly, hurried footsteps echoed over.

Old steward Senan arrived with a group of female slaves, bowing respectfully, "Young Master, you’ve returned. Clan Leader ordered me to prepare clothes and jewelry, as well as toys for the two Young Lords..."

As he spoke, his gaze couldn’t help flick toward Luna’s wrist.

The two little dragonlings immediately lifted their heads and bared their teeth at him.

Senan was so moved he was in tears: "Just like, exactly like Young Master when he was little."

Luna: "..."

What’s with this old guy?

Mael cleared his throat, "Let’s go inside and talk."

Senan hurriedly led the way, rambling as they walked: "Clan Leader especially ordered everything in the Amethyst Palace arranged by the main consort standard. That’s a thousand-year-old Jue Sha Screen, that’s a Jade Bed carved of ten thousand years warm jade, and here’s the Luminous Pearl..."

The more Luna listened, the odder it felt. She raised an eyebrow at Mael, "Main consort?"

Mael was a bit surprised himself; he hadn’t known his father made these arrangements.

Still, he remained composed on the surface: "Dragon Clan custom—my mate is naturally the main wife."

She snorted, not bothering to expose him.

The Dragon Clan’s old fossils didn’t even recognize her existence as a "Lower Domain female."

Horace Valerius was even more disgusted with her—no way he’d actively give her main wife treatment.

Most likely it was Mael’s own doing.

From the corner of her eye, she noticed Horace Valerius appearing, walking slowly toward them.

His golden eyes swept over Luna, then quickly latched onto the two little dragons, the stern face instantly softening tremendously.

"Father."

Mael nodded slightly—counting as a greeting.

Luna met Horace’s gaze directly, neither humble nor arrogant: "Chief Hawthorne."

Counted as her greeting.

As for following Mael in calling him Father—that was a bridge too far, and he probably didn’t care, either.

Horace’s face darkened at that ’Chief Hawthorne’, just thinking she had no sense and didn’t know her place.

But remembering she’d given him two exceptionally talented grandchildren, he finally didn’t fuss over such trivialities.

His gaze locked onto the two grandkids, beckoning them, "Solly, Auri, come to Grandpa."

The little golden dragon, Aurelius Valerius, flicked his tail, diving back into Luna’s sleeve.

The little azure dragon, Sol Valerius, tilted his head and eyed Grandpa, then suddenly "pfft"—shot a jet of water landing precisely atop Horace’s head.

Drenched his entire head and face.

Luna: "..."

Mael: "..."

The steward Senan and the female slaves all bowed their heads, pretending to be dead.

Horace’s face was black as a pot, but he couldn’t bring himself to scold his grandkids. He wiped off the water, glaring fiercely at Luna, "You taught them this?"

She raised innocent hands: "The kids take after their father."

Mael: "..."
