Chapter 216: The Value Of Empyrean Rhully
Chapter 216: The Value Of Empyrean Rhully
Mutated Expert Gold Grade Pranic Beast–Empyrean Rhully!
Primary Nature–Physical Cleave!
Secondary Nature–Mental Eddy!
Tertiary Nature–Entity Sever!
It was Torq’s Tangible Nature, a Tangible Nature with three Natures, which was capable of entering a State of Harmony when needed. Physical Cleave destroyed the physical cells of the target along the path of the cut.
And if Torq ever so desires, he could disperse the power behind the cut, causing its destructive property to course throughout the target’s body and vaporise them entirely. He had the option to do so when necessary.
Mental Eddy destroyed the data clusters that formed in a cultivator’s mind space, which basically contained all their memories, emotional state, character, personality, etc. Every attack from Mental Eddy was basically like throwing a meteor in the clusters to splash the data fragments across the mind space.
Entity Sever pretty much affected the inertness of the soul, which in its natural state, is that of an intangible solid, omnipresent across the universe. There’s just one Soul across the universe, portions of which are turned into a volatile substance, similar to a fog, which is lent to cultivators.
The property of the soul is its affinity to revert into its natural state, of a solid that cannot be interacted with. This property of the soul influences the cultivator’s body, affecting the aging of their cells.
Cultivators with a longer lifespan basically have a larger sea of this active mist. And as they grow older, it gradually turns solid. And when it fully turns solid, it implies they’ve reached the end of their lifespan.
Entity Sever basically causes this active sea of a cultivator into becoming solid. Unless they had the means to protect their soul, Entity Sever would turn the state of their soul into a solid, at which point the solid soul would merge into the omnipresent soul across the universe.
There was one point to note here. The effects of either of the three Natures, is not permanent, thanks to the existence of Prana. Body got destroyed? As long as there was Prana still present in the surviving parts of the body, the remainder will be fully generated eventually.
The Mind became a mess? Over time, Prana will gradually compile the scattered data into their respective clusters, allowing the cultivator’s to become sound of mind once again, even if this process takes significantly more time than regenerating the body.
The aging will also reverse itself over time and return to the natural age the respective cultivator ought to be at that point in their life. Unless Torq keeps using Entity Sever and basically reaches the end point of the lifespan, to pronounce the cultivator dead, from old age, they will eventually recover to their original age.
Using either of the three Natures implied Torq has to take the effects to the extreme to kill someone. Against regular opponents, this was plenty enough. Just using Physical Cleave to destroy the target’s head pretty much kills them.
At most a Deity had the means to recover from a severed head, given it made prior preparations in accumulation enough Prana in the neck, sufficient to regenerate its head before its body’s functions failed upon itself, and most of all, the stress from the head getting severed doesn’t shatter the Spirit Container.
By using the Natures individually, Torq could conserve his Prana expenditure, and most of all, not suffer from too much influence issues, as every usage plunged him into a series of devastating influences.
Of course, against someone with a State of Unity, he had no other option but to go full force, because when this gets unleashed, there’s no going back for the other party.
State of Harmony–Foundational Dismantle!
The body, the mind, and the soul, Foundational Dismantle destroyed everything. The fact that it does this vaporises Prana first out of the body before dealing with the body, mind, and soul. Without Prana, there was no recovery.
It was why, even after establishing the means to revive through his State of Unity, Si-Par-Naza still took a whole two minutes to revive. This because his body, mind, and soul were fully destroyed.
Using the imprints in the soul that he left upon his brethren, a new soul was reconstructed for him, which had to be done using the soul’s influence to recreate the memories from scratch. It was like creating a magnet to pull in iron filings from the earth.
The soul served as the magnet, which basically fished for all sorts of memories from the Universe’s Innate Soul for memories, from the portion of the Soul granted to the Garrinch Race.
The memories were the iron filings, which were newly stuffed inside a container. That’s why it took two minutes for the revival process to be complete. And even after reviving, Si-Par-Naza wasn’t in a state to fight anymore.
It was like using an Information Slip to gain a torrent of information. Even though Si-Par-Naza had all his memories and experience, he wasn’t familiar with them. He would have to spend time revisiting all the memories stored in his mind space and familiarising himself with it before he could get back his sense of self.
Only then would he be able to unleash his State of Unity. Otherwise, at the slightest attempt, his fragile mind would shatter first, followed by an untrained body bereft of any muscle memory. Without a container to hold it, the soul too would revert to its inert state.
That was the state Si-Par-Naza had been plunged into.
Nusantara Continent had the means to stably gain a State of Unity. Even if it is extremely rare, considering the stupendous size of the Continent, it had plenty of State of Unity users, enough to destroy Sumatra Continent even without the help of Celestial Rotocok.
If the State of Unity isn’t included, then Sumatra Continent had enough foundation to fight a brutal war against Nusantara Continent. After all, in a contest between the rule of survival of the strongest and survival of the fittest, the fittest would eventually emerge victorious.
But with Sumatra’s power system itself following only the aspect of the Mind, ignoring both the Aspects of Body and Soul, their limit for strength is the State of Harmony. Achieving a State of Unity is impossible for them.
Then, what was the solution? Upon reaching the end of this train of thought, Torq had a simple answer–the Empyrean Rhully!
A being created purely to kill a State of Unity. That’s was Torq’s way of saying Fuck-You to his enemies, a benevolent manner of purely screwing Nusantara Continent’s strongest Pranic Beasts.
